Bernard Gomez B.Sc (B.E), M.Sc (Arch), F.I.A. (S.L), qualified with a Masters Degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa in 1993 when he distinguished himself by being awarded high commendation in both his thesis and Comprehensive Design Project. Subsequently he apprenticed with some of Sri Lanka’s architectural pioneers including Architect Valentine Gunasekara, and the late Architect. Minette De Silva. He concluded his apprenticeship as Project Architect on the iconic Kandalama Hotel in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, working with the late Archt. Milroy Perera in conjunction with the late Archt. Geoffrey Bawa.

Since then he has authored several prestigious, award winning projects including Aditya Hotel, Galle, Sri Lanka, the Mercedes Benz Center of Excellence, Colombo, and most recently the Corporate HQ, multi story tower for Dialog Axiata. His work has been featured in many important international publications like the Phaidon World Atlas of Architecture, DOMUS magazine, and he has presented papers at several local, and international fora, including the SAARCH and ARCASIA, Architects forum. He is currently Vice President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects, and a long standing council member for the past 10 years, where he has the distinction of having served as Chairman of the three boards of the Institute: The Board of Architectural Education, The Board of Publications, and the Professional Affairs Board. He serves as a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa, and has been appointed as a local juror in the final year critique panel of the Colombo School of Architecture.

Ltd, a is a multi disciplinary international consultancy practice known for their dedication to design excellence and meticulous execution of projects. The practice is a brand much sought after by discerning clientele in Sri Lanka. This dedication to excellence has resulted in several international commissions notably in India, Dubai, and the Far East, where the company is involved in several Commercial, Residential, and Hotel developments.
