In small city of Ardakan where tradition, religion, and climate converge, the Shafagh Tomb was conceived as more than a tomb—it was envisioned as a sanctuary for the community. The design would honor tradition and yet speak to a modern sensibility.Traditional forms like the dome, inscription and motif are reimagined for new sensibilities. The inverted dome invites direct engagement, symbolizing democratized sacred space. Inscriptions flow freely across the surface, transforming it into artwork celebrates freedom. As a gateway to the cemetery,it transforms a private space into one for the city
