The late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period marked a time of rapid industrial capital accumulation. The Daguangming Rice Mill served as a crucial grain supplier for Longjiang and surrounding areas, helping establish a strong market culture in the old street district. Over time, as the town’s commercial center shifted, the once-bustling marketplace has turned into the "old street" of today. To reawaken the spirit of this historic Lingnan market town, we have developed a comprehensive revitalization plan for the Longjiang Old Street area. Beyond upgrading essential infrastructure.
