Located at the entrance of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, the facade renovation, "The Curtain", transforms an abandoned 2003 hotel complex into an immersive theater for "Zhouzhuang Odyssey". Through adaptive facade innovation, it harmonizes a once disharmonious mass with the town’s historic fabric. Inspired by stage curtains, the lightweight anodized aluminum panels respond to light, weather, and human scale, balancing cultural resonance, practical logistics, sustainability, and modern aesthetics, redefining adaptive reuse in Asian heritage towns.
