Designed for a young couple and their daughter, this three bedroom house is sited on a small subdivided lot in close proximity to an existing house built three decades earlier. These site conditions drove us to prioritize privacy while maximizing square footage in a small footprint. The design features a courtyard—conceptually defined by yellow—where all the rooms face inwards. On the exterior, breeze blocks interplay with white stucco, providing passive airflow and privacy, while also offering passersby glimpses of the yellow courtyard interior.
