[Bringing natural light and city vibrancy into the arcade] This is a small-scale building complex facing a full-cover arcade in a snowy region. We aimed to create a new way of connecting the buildings to the arcade by gently incorporating both natural light and the liveliness of the neighborhood through a semi-outdoor pocket park created by setting back the building walls. The interior was designed to integrate temporary and finished materials. This was done to rationalization of production, reduce construction materials, and control embodied carbon emissions.
