Life with Light, on Xinxing Road in Wuri District, Taichung, is a modern minimalist multi-family residence with 140 units and 2 shops. A setback creates an open pedestrian belt with greenery, forming a livable urban edge. With a site coverage of 51.63% (below the 80% limit), the design centers on light and air: a 30m atrium from levels 2–11, staggered balconies, and large east–west windows bring daylight and breezes while providing shade and privacy. The exterior keeps natural material tones, combining exposed concrete and pebble wash with 33,187 hand-laid red bricks for warmth and texture.
