The West China Frontier Medical Research Center, located at the southern end of Sichuan University's campus, is the last available development site on campus, dedicated to creating an interdisciplinary "medicine-engineering integration" platform. Despite site constraints, the design uses the historic Bell Tower as a spatial anchor, connecting old and new through symmetrical layout, a sunken plaza, and visual corridors. The "∞"-inspired design features dual atriums—the east atrium floods lower levels with natural light, while the west atrium's terraced form encourages engagement with nature.
