Architectural sequence – a symbolic thread intertwining science and architecture The building is an extension for human genetic research and sequencing patient treatment. The L-shaped extension complements the existing complex and forms an inner courtyard with it. A three-storey extension enables a ring closure on all levels. It combines high technology with a patient-friendly atmosphere thanks to warm materials. The façade structure symbolizes sequencing like a double helix. Modular façade elements enclose a flexible reinforced concrete skeleton structure.
