This 605,000 sq ft mixed-use project combines a 57-storey residential tower with the meticulous restoration of one of the city’s most beloved Gothic Revival landmarks. To meet Vancouver’s stringent seismic codes, Revery introduced new steel framing and shotcrete to reinforce the church’s masonry walls — all while preserving the sanctuary’s visual integrity. The restoration of First Baptist Church reinforces the environmental value of building reuse. Existing materials—masonry walls, timber framing, oak pews, and millwork—were carefully preserved, repaired, and re-integrated wherever possible.
