This project reintroduces the concept of a traditional Angan (courtyard) into modern design, inspired by the wadas of old Pune. The design blends public and private spaces, focusing on de-compartmentalization. A central courtyard connects two blocks, acting as a focal point for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Materials like exposed brick, wood, and metal are used to echo traditional wadas, while transparent partitions ensure natural light and ventilation. The facade incorporates a modern reimagining of the Jharokha, using minimal metal fins.
