The retreat is located in the remote village of Kazhma, deep in Karelia, surrounded by forest and far from urban centers. It was created by two brothers to revitalize their childhood village and share it with visitors. The complex includes guest houses, a sauna, and a hotel with rooms, restaurant, library, and a hall for yoga and events. Architecture blends simple orthogonal forms with northern wooden traditions, using locally sourced timber and shingles crafted by restorers from Kizhi. The design preserves the natural terrain and fosters harmony with the lake, forest, and cultural heritage.
