This renovation reimagines the space as a civic and cultural platform rooted in local context. By shifting the main entrance and introducing a sunken plaza, the design improves accessibility, ventilation, and urban visibility. Using site topography, the new circulation encourages public interaction and embodied experience. The project preserves historical identity while integrating modern needs—such as elevators, archives, and barrier-free access. It balances tradition with innovation, transforming the memorial from a secluded academic space into a dynamic hub for community and culture.
