The Hawthorne occupies the last residential parcel in the Bay Meadows village, a landmark transit-oriented development. The designers led the interior architecture of the lobby, amenity spaces, 50 units, and four townhomes within the complex. The team created a modern, urban aesthetic, articulated through spatial dynamics, volumetric play, and materiality. In the lobby, residents are greeted by high ceilings paired with smooth concrete floors, textural gray rugs, and walls Within the units, the cross-laminated timber structure is left exposed to create a meaningful layer of character.
