You+You On a wind-swept island facing the sea, this U-shaped house embraces a courtyard that shelters both people and trees. The architecture responds to Penghu’s harsh climate—blocking strong northern winds, inviting winter sun and summer breeze, and creating shade and moisture through layered balconies and porous forms. A stair garden connects levels, evoking gentle topography amid a flat landscape. Built as both home and guesthouse, the structure reflects its owners: simple, bright, generous. Hence the name: U+U (You+You).
