Located in the downtown of Mérida, on an irregularly shaped lot, the only pre-existing element before the project began was a guaya tree. The design concept stems from the syncretism between the worldview of the Maya civilization and the ideas introduced by the arrival of the Spanish. This encounter generates an interaction of meanings and symbols that have shaped the region's cultural identity over time, a dynamic that is reflected in the architecture.
