Amid Tianjin's Italian-Style district, this bookstore bridges classical and modern. Red brick which rooted in Roman heritage is redefined through rhythmic gaps inspired by light-filtering blinds, transforming solidity into layered transparency. Ascending layers of steel echoes port waves, symbolizing knowledge's tidal spread. The design follows the logic of craftsmanship and meets the needs of book display, making the walls not only supporting structures but also exhibition spaces. Each brick's form defies tradition—400,000 custom units, shaped via iterative 3D modeling.
