The Taronga Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Centre is a triumph of contemporary architecture and conservation, perched above the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour. Conceived to blend harmoniously with its environment, the Centre’s design draws inspiration from the amphibians and reptiles it protects: its facades mirror the landscape, while a living green wall responds to the seasons, camouflaging the building within nature’s tapestry. Ingeniously set within existing contours, the structure minimises visual impact while maximising connection to its locale.
