"The Veil" City Lounge in Sungang, Shenzhen, contrasts rugged industrial surroundings with minimalist feminine design. Roof windows filter light into hazy veil effects, echoing the flow of time, raising the awareness of the nature. Visitors traverse between bright and dark zones via a "stage divider" staircase for the sensory discovery. Fluid curved walls which inspired by the texture of veil dissolve boundaries. Night LED projections overlay interior silhouettes, creating surreal illusions. Yin-yang zoning balances social hubs (yang) with solitary retreats (yin), forming an elegant sanctuary.
