Amid Hsinchu’s historic Dongmen district, this renovation breathes new life into a 60-year-old townhouse filled with memories. The once perilous staircase has been transformed into an elegant, safe ascent, enhancing circulation and daily comfort. A rooftop glass pavilion now embraces daylight and starlight, while forgotten corners are redefined as functional niches. In the living room, an asymmetrical stone wall adds rhythm and depth, contrasted by archways and soft light in private quarters. Blending refinement with heritage warmth, the design turns past limitations into enduring value.
