Where city life meets the river, Terminal 1 reimagines Vancouver’s historic port as a welcoming edge. A green, walkable plinth lifts two office towers, revealing a civic ground of plazas, steps, and terraces and luring people water-ward at every turn. At its core, The Launch draws a public axis from downtown to the dock, honoring shipbuilding lineage, opening generous, cinematic views to the Columbia. Timber overlooks, river “rooms,” and gardened slopes invite pause; tidal plantings and stormwater gardens weave ecology into daily life. A lively, resilient waterfront promenade is born.
