Uplifted by Salt is a sculptural gateway marking the entrance to Dammam and the Eastern Province. Inspired by the Rus Formation—layers of salt and gypsum rising over millennia—the form emerges as if shaped by geologic force. Its layered mass, clad in sand-colored metal and glowing at night, symbolizes time, movement, and transformation. As both landmark and memorial, it honors the unseen forces beneath the land and connects Saudi Arabia’s deep past with its dynamic future.
