Tatsumi is a social lounge inspired by the layered memories of Kagurazaka-a neighborhood where Tokyo’s past and present continue to blur. This historical area, once located outside the moat of Edo Castle, developed as a cultural crossroads where samurai, merchants, and geisha districts coexisted, giving rise to a distinctive nightlife scene. The sight of lively streets and visitors reflected in the old waterways forms the emotional foundation of the design, which reinterprets historical memory through a contemporary lens. The space gently weaves together different eras.
