"Chuanjiang" is a historic section of Yangtze between Sichuan and Hubei. In 1940s, it served as a sacrificial lifeline during China’s anti-fascist resistance. Chuanjiang Shipping Culture Park sites the former Chuanjiang Machinery Factory, who played a key role in wartime shipping-based salvation. Located in urban core amid heavy traffic and complex infrastructure, steep slopes and unstable geology had long left it abandoned. This project revitalizes industrial remnants, recalls anti-fascist spirit while creating a model for harmonious living in a dense, challenging mountainous urban setting.
