A House is a sensitive transformation of a 1960s A-frame home by Jacques de Blois. The renovation restores its architectural essence while reimagining it for contemporary family life. A new perpendicular annex enhances the asymmetrical A-frame roof, establishing a new architectural threshold and fostering a dialogue between heritage and landscape. Panoramic windows fill the space with natural light and connect it to the surrounding conifers and the Saint-Laurent River. A House demonstrates the power of architecture to reveal, elevate, and preserve both built and natural legacies.
