Set on a secluded forested peninsula, this off-grid cottage offers a serene retreat for a family of five. Designed for multigenerational, year-round use, it blends accessibility with immersion in nature. Approached from a ridge of bedrock, a bridge leads to the upper level—living spaces that ‘float above the forest floor’—while the lower level houses five bedrooms that open to the landscape. Offset volumes create sheltered outdoor rooms, while expansive glazing and decks blur indoors and out. Powered by solar energy, the cottage offers a sustainable, low-impact design.
