An inward-looking sanctuary for a multigenerational family, this 7-bedroom home in Panchkula is anchored by a central courtyard that links spaces across levels through verandahs, terraces, and a sunken court. Patterned brick walls in a modified rat-trap bond ensure thermal insulation and reduce noise from surrounding roads. Carefully framed views, layered volumes, and private recesses create a tranquil, light-filled environment that fosters closeness while offering seclusion amid dense urban surroundings. Regional materials and passive design enhance comfort and sustainability.
