Revitalizing Modernism | Mercure Bangkok Surawong in Context and Form This renovation transforms a former office into a hotel that honors Bangkok’s mid-century modernist fabric. With no driveway, services were elevated to preserve a welcoming, pedestrian entrance. Sculpted volumes and staggered balconies echo modernist geometry, while white precast panels add a tactile, enduring character. Metallic accents introduce contrast and clarity, balancing past and present. The result is a contextual, resilient architecture that enriches its urban setting with renewed identity.
