The new architectural complex has a deep relationship with its surroundings which means that it has established a dialogue both with the existing buildings and the neighborhood site. The new construction was though as a new addition which had to be recognizable but without showing significant contrasts and obligations with respect to the old building, according to the key aspects of discernibility and, above all, gentle transition from old to new through progressive juxtapositions and distances. The project draws a sort of enclosure recomposing the neighborhood and completing the urban design.
