BEA Architects, Inc. is a world leader in the design of iconic seaport facilities all around the world. BEA’s designs have become known at each of their destinations as the commercial gateway to their specific countries. We like to think of our projects as having designs which paint a picture of the country in the minds of each of the visiting guests. Due to the nature of its history, location and economic circumstances within the region of Central Asia, Turkmenistan should be considered a major crossing point for both local and continental transport. Because of the important need for economic developments with cultural significance in the region, BEA Architects was chosen to provide a Master Plan with Conceptual / Schematic Design for the Turkmenbashi International Seaport Terminal in Turkmenistan. The design services that BEA provided to the client included concepts for the Seaport Terminal, Control Tower and 3-star Motel. To begin the Master Plan process for the Port of Turkmenbashi, Lead Architect Bruno E. Ramos of BEA reviewed and revised the program for the terminal and control tower to comply with operational and international terminal requirements. One of the most significant design elements of this project is the Ferry Terminal Building. The terminal shall have two berthing locations, in which one berth must be designed to handle the loads of trains. The Ferry Terminal Building will house a waiting room for 400 guests, while also supporting many other functions, and shall become an Architectural Landmark for the entire Turkmenbashi Seaport.
