This contemporary ruin-inspired project spans 2 acres, featuring rammed earth walls as its primary organizational element. These walls ground four independent structures, creating a sense of timelessness and connection to the site. Interior spaces offer a calming sanctuary, with delicate roofs inserted between parallel walls, allowing nature to permeate. The design balances the mass of earthen walls with wooden interiors and screening elements, creating functional spaces with subtle drama. Sustainable strategies include local stone, sustainably sourced wood, and biophilic design principles.
