Airport Central Station is the gateway to the unique place and culture of Western Australia. The geometric roof that references aerodynamics, is the centre of the airport’s precinct. Entering the station, passengers are afforded 260-degree views extending to Darling Scarp and Perth’s CBD skyline as a destination. Artworks in the 12m high atrium, by First Nations artists Anne Neil and John Walley, reference Noongar heritage and culture to establish a sense of place. The project provides a seamless passenger experience, direct access to Perth’s rail network and an 18-minute ride to the CBD.
