Ferry House is comprised of three cranked wings with pitched roofs that splay outwards and upwards, creating dynamic spaces at the ends of each wing and a building a connection to nature. Each has a different function: living, back of house, and the private master suite and office. Ferry House appears as a single-storey pavilion - entered at the meeting point of the wings. The configuration maximizes elevated panoramic views of the river and divides the site in three – the forecourt, river-side garden, and kitchen garden with raised planters and an outdoor kitchen with a built in Braai.
