The European Parliament’s main building consists of 30,000 m2 of office space in the center of Brussels, the capital of Europe. The design has a fresh, contemporary look, with curved structures and colorful façades. The deliberate alternation of open and closed surfaces makes the building extremely energy-efficient. The building’s integration into the cityscape is remarkable. The design consists of two wings, connected in the middle: one wing reflects uptown Brussels, while the other reflects the downtown area.
