The house achieves a comfortable ambient temperature by passive design strategies. The entire composition is based on a 6-foot square module in a three-dimensional play of solid and voids to modulate the sunlight while controlling ambient temperatures. It connects the occupants with the earth, the surrounding natural environment, and the sky. The house incorporates: • Regional character of the indigenous building typology • Solar hot water supply • Earth cooling through the cellar • Energy use minimised through natural ventilation and daylight
