Sanbaopeng Handcraft District is located at Sanbao village in Jingdezhen, which is historically famous for producing porcelain. The young artists and rising art institutions who gathered in Jingdezhen needed a space where they could get together, space where they could produce, present and sell their handcrafts. The architects chose a sloping site, facing a stream on three sides, and tried to create an art community in the field for handcraft artists in an original natural environment by disassembling the space by stacking boxes, arranged along the topography.
