The work is located in the heart of North Portugal, on the Douro River valley. The lake house is on the river bank. It was found in a degraded state with no historical value. We built a new volume whose configuration originated from its connection with the terrain. The house is closed from the street and opens to the river. It features a duplex apartment with a mezzanine and a double-height ceiling and open attic area, in order to illuminate and use all the space. From the outside, it is protected by a wall.
