The restoration and renovation of a heritage building to a luxurious family home. Obtrusive elements were removed to reinstate grandeur back into the rooms of large proportions, with a scale suitable to the dwelling size. A large internal atrium was inserted through the centre of the building to provide circulation and to allow the penetration of light from an over-sized steel and glass skylight. Interior focus on restoring and highlighting the original heritage character of the building with the juxtaposition of the new works having a modern aesthetic, with a classic twist.
