This boutique hotel was renovated to offer a sustainable and tranquil refuge for its guests. In the lobby sits a glacier-like front desk which stands on black “lava” tiles. The custom designed Dropi chair offers a playful resting place. Infinity hallways connecting guest quarters mimic hot lava flows; intersecting lines of light cut through the black field, gradually illuminating as guests move through them. Rooms are appointed with furniture fabricated from materials and colors that reflect and connect each postcard view. Accent walls of obsidian rock and sand pay homage to a desert plateau.
