The project investigates ways of spatial coexistence between two seemingly conflicting programs to critique the modern body. One program is dealing with materiality and gravity-crematorium (losing), while the other is about consumerism and capitalism-retail (gaining). The project uses a historical building of many lives as a vehicle for the expression of duality in contemporary society. The design examines its previous lives in both ritual and profane, and it rewrites a new story with old and new materials.
