The project involved the complete redesigning of a building of poor architectural quality and its transformation into a landmark. Rather than implementing a typical restyling process, the building’s architecture was re-thought from scratch and the proportions and shapes of the massive volumes of the original building altered to achieve a much lighter and more articulated configuration. Moreover, innovative interventions on materials, processes and green areas have resulted in a tremendous improvement of the building's energy performances, in terms of both costs and efficiency.
