This project makes good use of black, marble and concrete to give more layers to the overall look. Windows to the garden are replaced with modern, folding floor-to-ceiling doors to link the indoor area and outdoor area. The open-plan design leverages the original pillars and crossbeams to create a definition while ensuring a sense of consistency thanks to the expense of grey tiles on the floor. In the lounge, an L-shaped grey sofa curves around a small white marble coffee table. A modest yet stylish open kitchen sits on the far side of the room, encouraging interaction and communication.
