Yangpu Waterfront shipyard is the only remaining brownfield in downtown Shanghai and has century-old industrial heritage. Through investigating and respecting the current condition, the proposals integrate and improve the existing buildings and landscape. Through combining the public space, the concept of “industrial heritage +” including different functions such as culture, art, leisure activities and creative offices would be implanted to improve the vitality of the waterfront. By using the method of TOD, a shared space and public green belt, a dynamic CRBD is promising.
