The development of two towers and a podium strives to be a ‘gateway’ to the downtown. The towers’ slenderness gives the edges a very strong vertical appearance. The heights of the towers are further extenuated by cutting through the podium all the way to the pavements. The podium steps down with terraces for the pool, and restaurants with views from the Dubai International Finance Centre to the Burj Khalifa. The structure of the crown will remain sharply solid, while the vertical blades, reflecting the desert light, will seem to dissolve, giving the development a floating appearance.
