Longhua Archives combines education, cultural exhibition and urban archive functions into a multi-purpose cluster. Bridging two narrow sites with a public road in the middle, the archive creates horizontal space in a dialogue with surrounding urban interfaces. The archive acts as a cultural corridor to link the riverside, the urban square, and the city. Also, a portion of the exhibition area is designated as a public promenade for flexible exhibitions and future developments. The archive aims to be a future cultural landmark for the Longhua New District.
