The new headquarters is a 20-story, 838,000 SF office tower that will serve as the workplace for 3,500 California state employees; accommodating the Department of Natural Resources and seven other state agencies. The design is rooted in the principles expressed by the Agency’s Mission and brings awareness to the vital and precious relationship we have to our natural environment. The headquarters will also be a new destination for the public, offering ground-level retail space, a multi-vendor food court, and a pedestrian plaza. The building will also meet LEED Platinum standards.
