The residence is located on a plateau in the Laurentian mountainous region. The architecture highlights the site‘s features, like the rugged topography, the dense forest and the strong presence of volcanic rocks. The ground floor is aligned with the north-south axis, overlooking the creek, whereas the first level is aligned with the east-west axis, allowing to enjoy the intimacy of the forest. The double-height space at the heart of the house provides natural lighting all day long. The indoor and outdoor arrangements are linked to create a continuity between the house and its stunning scenery.
