The new Tom Patterson Theatre is designed as an attractor, positioned to draw people in. From the outside, the building will glitter like a jewel, a prelude to the joy of the performances within. Inside, the curvilinear design creates quiet folds – where one can savor a contemplative moment. At the heart of the building, the theatre is designed to honour all that is cherished about the beloved Tom Patterson. The reimagination of this cultural icon defines a home for the Festival’s education programming, expands the capabilities of the storied building, and provide spaces for social engagement
