After an extensive 18 month study on existing Hong Kong Playgrounds for the Hong Kong Government, we were commissioned by K11, a shopping mall in greater China to imagine and bring to life a playable art piece. The more we engaged with children, the more that we realise architecture’s importance in the role of helping children explore the world. Toys are exploratory apparatus for children, they are very important for kids’ development, thus can architecture be more exploratory?
