We create “Shared Studios” to foster diverse values through interaction with students, faculties, and alumni for the new business school of Mukogawa women’s university, the largest women’s university in Japan. The three-dimensional continuous space without walls enables students to learn actively and spatial choices create the opportunity to communicate. Two different learning spaces for research and practice are alternately stacked and connected loosely through the void. The spaces create an open but calm environment that students can focus on their studies and yet stimulate each other.
